Introducing the /thank command.

If you tell someone about BashyBashy, and they come to play, we will reward both of you!

To each automatically get your reward, the new player has to type a command when they land in the main lobby (after they’ve accepted the server Rules and completed the Tutorial).

This command is:

/thank [playername]

The [playername] in that command should be YOUR in-game name. E.g. if you’re “NoobSlayer29” they need to type /thank NoobSlayer29

After they’ve played a few games, they’re rewarded with 5 karma, as thanks to them for joining in the fun.

After their 10th game, YOU also get 5 karma, another 5 when they’ve played 30, then 40 more karma after 100 games! 50 karma in total!

This is our thanks to you both for trying to make the server a happier place!

Note:

• There’s no limit to how many players can /thank you.
• More players invited = more reward for you!
• They should do it when they first join the server. If they log in repeatedly or play several games before doing the /thank command, it won’t work.
• Each player can only thank someone ONCE – so that should be you, the person who kindly introduced them to the server.

To get the biggest increase in /thank karma, you want the players you invite to actually play as much as possible! Therefore you should invite players that you think will actually enjoy playing at bashybashy. Of course the best way to make sure they enjoy playing, is to invite them to come and have a few game sessions with you…!

When you tell your friends / followers, try to use your own words to let them know why they might like BashyBashy, and to let them know about the /thank command. But if you’re not sure what to say, just adapt the template text below – change it to your own words, especially the bits in square brackets!!!

Hi, I’ve been enjoying playing minecraft at play.bashybashy.com and reckon you might like it too. BashyBashy is a java minigame server with a 1.8 SMP, bedwars, and some other new games you won’t find anywhere else. They’re trying to make it a kind, safe, fair and fun place to play. I especially like their server because [insert your text here].

If you’re up for coming to play at BashyBashy, you can type a special command to “thank” me the very first time you enter their main lobby. This will get both you, and me, some karma points as a reward!

The command you type is: /thanks [my playername]

The real reward will be you coming to play some games there with me though (vom, ugh, lol).
